The idea behind the Medpeople platform was born when two of Medpeople’s founders, Kave Soultani and Niclas Nilsson, got a unique insight in the massive and continuously growing resource problems in healthcare during their thesis work. Kave and Niclas got to see how billions of kronor were spent on an inefficient staffing system and skills supply. At the same time the foundation of the healthcare system (the healthcare personnel) didn’t get any attention. The money spent supported mainly the traditional staffing agencies, whose focus was not on filling the most frequent and unforeseen needs that emerge when the staff falls ill. This problem of unsolved sick leaves hit the staff and the healthcare personnel the hardest, but there was neither a tool nor a plan to solve the problem. Kave and Niclas could also see just how these unfilled vacancies contributed to a deterioration of the working environment, which resulted in a vicious cycle of resignations and burnouts. As a result, it becomes even more difficult for employers to recruit personnel to the undermanned department.
Together with the two additional co-founders Emil and Herman, Kave and Niclas therefore decided to create a better way. One that is simple and transparent, where care providers and healthcare personnel connect. They did all that to get away from unnecessary restrictions and inefficient intermediates. The solution? Medpeople’s platform.
